Sarcastic and irritable, Diablo is silent around anyone that isn't Grimm and is 100 percent non-responsive to any other people. He'll speak to other allmates or initiate conversations with humans, but if you aren't Grimm, he won't respond to you. He is protective of Grimm, but prefers to teach him lessons the hard way. Otherwise, the two have a relationship that makes them extremely attached to each other. Whenever Grimm is lonely, Diablo is there and will coil his way around Grimm comfortingly. Diablo was a bribe from Grimm's parents.

Grimm is a domineering brat. He may not be the smartest tool in the shed, but he has a tendency to use emotional manipulation. Whether  he intentionally pisses you off or makes you feel like the biggest jerk in the world, he will say anything on his mind to make you feel what he wants you to feel. It may not always work, but he certainly will try. Though he may not say things that seem true to the person he's saying it to, his perception is his reality and he always speaks the truth. Grimm has a hormone imbalance that makes him exceedingly aggressive, so he is always looking for a fight and once he's mad, he keeps going until all of his energy is completely spent. Another side effect to the hormone imbalance is that he feels everything strongly; from anger, sadness, happiness, loneliness and affection. He is a moody handful.

Grimm was born in Detroit, Michigan USA to a pair of contract workers that made enough money to support their family of four, but spent more time passed out drunk than paying attention to their kids. He has an older sister, Danielle, that he took to like a fish out of water. Grimm was always sullen and quiet as a kid, earning his nickname from his sister. Since she used it so often, other people started calling him Grimm as well and now it's only his sister that calls him by his real name. At the age of about 8, Grimm began having gland issues that made him experience puberty extremely early. No one really knowing what he was dealing with lead to a lot of frustration and emotional outburst that had people treat him like a problem child. As he grew older, he steadily became more and more restless and each emotion he felt came on in extreme and volatile swings. At 12 years old, there was an incident at his home to where he lashed out at his sister Danielle.

Grimm was put in the Juvinile Detention Center for assaulting his sister. The state was unable to trial him as an adult. His sister is in an unresponsive comatose.

While he was in reform, his family moved away to Japan at the promise of better technology and being able to perhaps bring their daughter out of comatose. Grimm spent 2 years in the center before he was finally allowed freedom. When he was let out, he was sent a COIL by his parents to keep in touch. It was his choice whether or not to follow them. Grimm bummed around his old home and friend's houses for half year before finally deciding he couldn't go without seeing Danny anymore. He followed his family Japan. These people were completely different from the black out drunks he remembered. Protective and guarded, they allowed him to see Danny once before bribing him to stay away from her with the purchase of an allmate. To keep Diablo, he must stay away from the hospital.

He started playing Rhyme to vent some of his frustrations. It's hardly helping.

-The only thing he would probably consider his friend. Even if Diablo is mean to him, he would never change his allmate's personality for anything.

[Danielle Kline] Sister
-Grimm adores his sister more than anyone in the world and he has so many regrets about what happened. He's terrified to see her awake again.

-Grimm is a swinger. He doesn't commit to relationships, but expects his partners to be dedicated to him.
-He has an apartment with his parents, but he's never home. He has multiple people that are willing to let him stay at their house.
-If injured or significantly harmed, he will refuse medical attention. He is terrified of Diablo being taken away from him.

There's a strange sense of familiarity that washes over Grimm every time he is here. He could crawl through the window or walk in the front door and the warmth doesn't burn him. Not anymore. He can walk into a house that doesn't belong to him without knocking or having to wait for permission to enter like some monster forbidden from sanctuary. And even if it's not his home, it's Ryuu's and that makes it a lot nicer already.
